Helsinki, June 11-13, 2008
Dear Colleagues
On behalf of the Organising Committee and the Finnish NMR Discussion Group (FiD), it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 30th Anniversary Finnish NMR Symposium in Helsinki, June 11-13, 2008.
The symposium will take place in Siuntion Hyvinvointikeskus, some 45 min from the centre of Helsinki as well as from the Helsinki-Vantaa airport. The program will follow traditional trends with registration and casual opening ceremonies (including sauna, of course) in the afternoon on Wednesday (11th) and closing in the early afternoon on Friday (13th). This year, the Symposium is organised by the Computational Medicine Research Group from the Helsinki University of Technology, Folkhälsan Research Center and Helsinki University Central Hospital, Helsinki, Finland (http://www.computationalmedicine.fi/).
Six scientific sessions and a lively poster session are on the programme. Those will cover a broad range of topics in the area of magnetic resonance - for example, novel MRI contrasts, metabonomics/metabolomics and NMR applications in material physics. A Young Investigators Award -competition (for those not having an official PhD degree at the time of the presentation) will also be organised covering a prize for the best oral and poster presentations. Also an industrial session on recent technical and methodological advancements will take place.
We would like to welcome active participation from academic as well as industrial delegates. Please submit your scientific contributions by May 11. The instructions for the preparation and style of the abstracts can be found at the Instructions for abstracts -page.
We look forward to see you spinning and getting excited with us in Southern Finland at the time of labile and fresh Finnish summer!
